Story
I've spent the last fifteen years building and scaling software — first as an engineer, then leading the teams and the systems behind the products.
Across all of it, I kept watching the same thing happen — to other teams, and to me. We'd move fast. We'd build with conviction. And half the time we were building the wrong thing. The code was never the expensive part — the months poured into the wrong direction were.
Speed without direction is just expensive mistakes.
Then AI made building almost free. The barrier that defined my whole career — actually shipping the thing — mostly fell away. But that didn't fix the problem. It multiplied it. Everyone's a builder now, everyone's shipping, and the signal broke at the same moment: fake screenshots, headline numbers that are guesses, no honest way to tell whose work is real or what actually moved a number.
So the things that were always scarce got scarcer — knowing what works, finding the people really doing it, and trusting what you read.
That's what I build for now. Two products, one mission. BHAG — so you understand who your product is for before you write the code. And Indie Valley — where real teams build in the open on a revenue line they can't fake, so the lessons are real and the people are worth knowing.
I hold myself to the same rules. I'm building both out in the open, on the same verified line as everyone else here — the wins, and the weeks that don't go my way.
Helping builders build the right things, in the age of AI. That's the whole thing.
